DESCRIPTION
An Inter Cooler, also known as a Charge Air Cooler (CAC), is a component of a turbocharged or supercharged engine system. It is responsible for cooling the compressed air that has been heated during the compression process. The Inter Cooler sits between the turbocharger or supercharger and the engine's intake manifold. As hot, compressed air passes through the Inter Cooler, it is cooled by either air or liquid before being sent to the engine. This process increases engine efficiency and power output by providing denser, cooler air to the combustion chamber. The ME415088 is a specific model of Inter Cooler designed for use in certain truck models.
