DESCRIPTION
The Engine Idle Control Cable is a component of a truck's engine system that regulates the idle speed of the engine. It is attached to the throttle body and the accelerator pedal, and controls the opening and closing of the throttle valve. When the accelerator pedal is released, this cable pulls on the throttle body to close it, reducing the amount of air entering the engine and slowing down the idle speed. Conversely, when the accelerator pedal is pressed, this cable releases tension on the throttle body, allowing more air to enter and increase engine speed.
