DESCRIPTION
The Brake Master Cylinder Assembly (part number MC894211) is a crucial component of a truck's braking system. It is responsible for converting the force applied to the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure, which then activates the brake calipers or drums to slow down or stop the vehicle. The assembly consists of a master cylinder body, piston, and reservoir that holds brake fluid. When the brake pedal is pressed, the piston pushes against the fluid in the reservoir, creating pressure that is transmitted through the brake lines to actuate the brakes. A failing master cylinder can result in loss of braking power, spongy or unresponsive brakes, and even complete brake failure.
