DESCRIPTION
The Water Bypass Tube (part number: 4912456) is a component of a truck's engine cooling system. It is responsible for routing the coolant around the engine through a bypass channel when the thermostat is closed. This ensures that the coolant continues to circulate and cool various engine components, such as the cylinder heads, even when the thermostat is closed and restricting flow through the radiator. The bypass tube also helps regulate engine temperature during warm-up periods by directing coolant to areas that need it most.
