DESCRIPTION
The Water Pump Body (part number 555260) is a component of a truck's cooling system that houses the impeller and seals. The body is typically made of cast iron or aluminum, and its purpose is to circulate coolant through the engine block, radiator, and heater core. The impeller inside the water pump body is driven by a belt connected to the engine crankshaft, which creates a suction force that draws coolant from the radiator into the pump housing. The seals on the water pump body prevent leaks between the housing and other components in the cooling system. If there are issues with overheating or coolant leaks, it may be necessary to replace the water pump body to maintain proper engine operation.
