Water pump
The water pump, also known as the coolant pump, is a critical component of a truck's cooling system. Its primary function is to circulate coolant through the engine to regulate its temperature and prevent overheating. The water pump is typically driven by a belt connected to the engine's crankshaft and consists of an impeller that spins within a housing. As the impeller rotates, it creates suction that draws coolant from the radiator into the engine block and forces it back out again. Over time, wear and tear can cause leaks or failure in the water pump, which can lead to serious damage if not addressed promptly.
