DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Kit, identified by Part Number 4309492, is a performance upgrade for trucks that utilizes a forced induction system to increase engine power and efficiency. The kit includes a turbocharger assembly, exhaust manifold, wastegate, intercooler, air intake piping and other necessary components. When the engine exhaust gases pass through the turbine in the turbocharger assembly, it spins a compressor wheel which increases the amount of air supplied to the engine. This results in improved combustion and increased horsepower output. The wastegate regulates boost pressure to prevent over-boosting and potential damage to the engine. The intercooler cools down compressed air before entering the engine for better performance.
