DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Kit (part number 4089777) is a set of components that includes a turbocharger, exhaust manifold, wastegate, and other necessary parts to increase the power output of a truck's engine. The turbocharger uses exhaust gases to spin a turbine that compresses incoming air and forces it into the engine at higher pressure, increasing its power output. The exhaust manifold collects the spent gases from each cylinder and channels them into the turbine. The wastegate regulates boost pressure by diverting some of the exhaust around the turbine when necessary. A turbocharger kit can significantly improve performance in high-demand situations such as towing or hauling heavy loads.
