DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Actuator Kit (part number 4034172) is a component of a truck's engine system that controls the turbocharger's boost pressure. The kit includes an actuator, which is responsible for opening and closing the wastegate valve to regulate the amount of exhaust gas that flows through the turbine. This, in turn, controls the speed at which the turbocharger spins and increases or decreases boost pressure. The actuator is controlled by an electronic control module (ECM) that receives information from various sensors throughout the engine to determine how much boost pressure is needed.
