DESCRIPTION
A turbocharger actuator kit, also known as a wastegate actuator, is a component of a turbocharged engine that controls the amount of boost pressure produced by the turbocharger. The kit includes an actuator, which is a small motor that opens and closes the wastegate valve in response to signals from the engine control module. When the engine requires more power, the actuator opens the wastegate valve to allow exhaust gases to bypass the turbine wheel and reduce boost pressure. Conversely, when less power is needed, the valve closes to increase boost pressure. The 4030923 model is a specific part number for this kit and may be used in various truck models.
