DESCRIPTION
A turbocharger is an engine component that uses exhaust gases to compress and force more air into the engine, which increases power output. The turbocharger consists of a turbine and a compressor connected by a common shaft. As exhaust gas flows over the turbine blades, it spins the turbine wheel, which in turn drives the compressor wheel. The compressor then draws in ambient air and compresses it before sending it to the engine's intake manifold. This compressed air allows for more fuel to be burned during combustion, resulting in increased horsepower and torque.
