DESCRIPTION
A turbocharger (part number 3801695) is a component that increases the power output of an internal combustion engine by compressing the air that enters it. The compressed air then mixes with fuel and burns more efficiently, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. The turbocharger consists of a turbine and a compressor, which are connected by a shaft. Exhaust gases from the engine spin the turbine, which in turn spins the compressor to increase air intake pressure. This allows for more fuel to be burned per cycle, providing greater power output without increasing engine size or weight. Turbochargers are commonly used in diesel engines as well as high-performance gasoline engines.
