DESCRIPTION
The Throttle Lever (part number: 138629) is a component found in trucks that controls the throttle valve, which regulates the flow of fuel and air into the engine. When the driver presses down on the accelerator pedal, the throttle lever pivots and opens up the throttle valve, allowing more fuel and air to enter into the engine. This increased airflow results in a higher engine speed and more power output from the truck. Conversely, when the driver releases pressure on the accelerator pedal, springs within the throttle lever return it to its original position, closing off or reducing airflow to decrease engine speed. Overall, this component plays an essential role in regulating a truck's acceleration and power output.
