DESCRIPTION
The Throttle Shaft is a component of the truck's carburetor that controls the amount of air and fuel mixture that enters the engine. It is a cylindrical metal rod with two butterfly valves at each end, which open and close to regulate airflow. The shaft rotates within brass bushings in the carburetor body, allowing for smooth operation of the throttle. Over time, wear and tear on the shaft can cause it to become loose or damaged, leading to poor engine performance and decreased fuel efficiency. Regular maintenance and replacement of this part is crucial for optimal truck operation.
