DESCRIPTION
A thermostat with part number 194245 is a component of a truck's cooling system that regulates the engine's operating temperature. It is typically located at the point where the engine and radiator meet, and works by controlling the flow of coolant through the engine. When the engine is cold, the thermostat will remain closed, preventing coolant from circulating through it until it reaches its predetermined temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the thermostat will open to allow coolant to flow through and regulate its temperature. A malfunctioning thermostat can cause overheating or poor fuel economy, so it's important to regularly check and replace as needed.
