DESCRIPTION
The Idle spring plunger, also known as the idle speed control plunger, is a small component located in the carburetor of a truck engine. It is responsible for controlling the idle speed of the engine by regulating the amount of air that flows into the carburetor. The plunger is designed to move up and down based on signals from the vehicle's computer or engine control module (ECM), which adjust the amount of air that enters the system. Over time, this part can become worn or damaged, leading to issues with idling and overall performance. If you notice your truck idling poorly or experiencing stalling issues, it may be time to replace your idle spring plunger with a new one.
