DESCRIPTION
A Wiring Harness, also known as a cable harness or wiring assembly, is an organized set of wires, terminals, and connectors that run throughout a vehicle to transmit electrical power and signals between different components. The Wiring Harness is made up of individual wires that are bundled together with protective sleeves or conduit to prevent damage from heat, moisture, and abrasion. It is designed to connect various electrical components in a vehicle such as the engine control module (ECM), sensors, lights, switches, battery and alternator. In particular the Part Number 2896084 refers to a specific wiring harness designed for use in trucks. The Wiring Harness plays an integral role in the functionality of numerous automotive systems and malfunctions can lead to problems with starting the engine or even cause safety hazards on the road.
