DESCRIPTION
An Expansion Plug Installer, also known as a Freeze Plug Installer, is a tool used to install or replace expansion plugs in an engine block. Expansion plugs, also called freeze plugs, are thin metal disks that are pressed into the engine block's casting holes to prevent coolant from leaking out of the engine. The installer has a tapered end that fits inside the expansion plug and a threaded rod that tightens against the plug until it is flush with the hole. This ensures a secure fit and prevents any leaks from occurring. The 3823520 Expansion Plug Installer is specifically designed for use on trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles.
