DESCRIPTION
A lockplate installer is a tool used in the installation of lockplates on heavy-duty trucks. Lockplates are metal plates that are placed over the nuts and bolts on a truck's wheel hub assembly to prevent them from loosening over time. The installer tool, such as part number 3162842, is designed to securely hold the lockplate in place while it is being installed onto the hub assembly. The installer ensures that the lockplate is properly aligned with the bolts and that it sits flush against the hub assembly. This helps to ensure that the lockplate will function correctly and prevent any potential safety hazards caused by loose wheel nuts or bolts.
