DESCRIPTION
A locating pin is a small cylindrical component used in the assembly of a truck's transmission. The pin, with part number 5394375, is designed to precisely align and secure the transmission housing to the engine block. The locating pin is typically made of high-strength steel and features a tapered end that fits snugly into a corresponding hole in the engine block. This ensures that the transmission is properly positioned for optimal performance and longevity. Without a properly functioning locating pin, there may be excessive vibration, noise or even damage to the transmission itself.
