DESCRIPTION
The Expander Valve, also known as ST761, is a component found in truck air conditioning systems. Its main function is to regulate the flow of refrigerant through the system, ensuring that it expands properly and cools the cabin effectively. The valve achieves this by maintaining a constant pressure differential between the high and low sides of the system. It is typically located near the evaporator and works in conjunction with other components such as the compressor and condenser to maintain optimal performance. If the Expander Valve fails, it can result in poor cooling performance or even damage to other components in the system. Regular maintenance and inspection are key to ensuring that this critical component continues to function properly over time.
