DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a set of components that includes a piston, piston rings, and wrist pins. The 0.50mm oversize indicates that the diameter of the piston is 0.50 millimeters larger than the standard size for that engine. Pistons are an essential part of an internal combustion engine as they move up and down within the cylinder to compress fuel and air mixture or to allow exhaust gases to escape. The piston transfers this energy through a connecting rod to the crankshaft which ultimately turns the wheels of the vehicle. A piston kit may be required when rebuilding or repairing an engine due to wear or damage to these critical components.
