DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft pulley, also known as the harmonic balancer, is a vital component in the engine of a commercial truck. Specifically, for the Cummins® engine with the part number 3001258, the crankshaft pulley serves the following purpose: it is attached to the crankshaft and helps to drive various engine accessories, such as the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor, through the use of a belt. The pulley's primary function is to provide rotational power from the engine's crankshaft to these auxiliary components, allowing them to operate effectively.
