DESCRIPTION
The Catalyst Module is a crucial component in a truck's exhaust system that helps to reduce harmful emissions. It is also known as a catalytic converter and is responsible for converting pollutants in the exhaust gases into less harmful ones before they are released into the environment. The module contains a honeycomb-like structure made of ceramic or metallic materials coated with precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium. As the exhaust gases flow through the honeycomb, chemical reactions occur that break down pollutants like carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and hydrocarbons into less harmful substances like carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor. The Catalyst Module is an important tool in reducing air pollution from diesel engines and ensuring compliance with emissions regulations.
