DESCRIPTION
The Lubricating Oil Top Level Assembly Pump, or LOTLAP for short (part number AR11067), is an essential component in a truck's engine lubrication system. The pump is responsible for delivering oil to various parts of the engine, such as bearings and camshafts, to reduce friction and heat generated by moving parts. The LOTLAP consists of a pump housing, gears or rotor, and an inlet and outlet port. When the engine is running, oil is drawn into the pump through the inlet port and then pressurized by the rotating gears or rotor before being sent out through the outlet port to lubricate critical components. Without proper lubrication from the LOTLAP, engine components can quickly wear down and cause irreparable damage.
