Starter Motor (Part Number: 4081236)
A starter motor is an electric motor that is used to start an internal combustion engine. The starter motor is typically located near the bottom of the engine and is connected to the flywheel or flexplate through a small gear called a pinion gear. When the ignition key is turned, it sends an electrical signal to the starter solenoid, which then engages the pinion gear with the flywheel or flexplate and spins the engine over until it starts. Once the engine has started, a spring in the starter motor disengages the pinion gear from the flywheel or flexplate, allowing it to spin freely while the engine runs.
