DESCRIPTION
A Heat Shield, also known as a thermal shield, is a component that protects other parts from the heat generated by the engine. It is typically made of metal or ceramic material and is designed to reflect heat away from sensitive components such as wiring, hoses or fuel lines. The Heat Shield attaches to the exhaust system and acts as a barrier between the hot gases and other parts of the vehicle. 3650371 is a specific part number for this component used in trucks. Without this shield, high temperatures can cause damage to nearby components leading to costly repairs.
