DESCRIPTION
The Governor Weight Assist Plunger, also known as part number 3070195, is a component found in diesel engines. It is responsible for controlling the fuel delivery to the engine by regulating the speed of the fuel pump. The plunger operates in conjunction with other governor components to maintain a constant engine speed under varying loads and conditions. As fuel flow increases, the plunger moves outward against spring tension, which in turn compresses an internal spring and allows more fuel to enter the engine. Conversely, as fuel flow decreases, the spring expands and pushes against the plunger, reducing fuel delivery to maintain a consistent engine speed. The Governor Weight Assist Plunger is an essential part of any diesel engine's governor system and helps ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
