DESCRIPTION
The Governor Barrel, also known as the fuel control actuator, is a crucial component in a diesel engine's fuel system. The barrel is responsible for regulating the amount of fuel that enters the engine by controlling the pressure of the fuel being delivered to the injectors. It works by using centrifugal force to move a set of weights that adjust a spring-loaded valve. This valve then controls how much fuel is delivered to the injectors based on the engine's speed and load. A malfunctioning Governor Barrel can cause issues with engine performance, such as poor acceleration or stalling. Proper maintenance and replacement of this part is essential for keeping a diesel engine running smoothly and efficiently.
