DESCRIPTION
The Fuel Metering Valve, also known as the FCA (Fuel Control Actuator), is a component responsible for regulating the amount of fuel delivered to the engine. It is typically located on the fuel injection pump and receives signals from the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the fuel flow rate. The valve operates by adjusting a plunger that controls the pressure of fuel entering into the high-pressure pump. A faulty Fuel Metering Valve can result in poor engine performance, rough idling or stalling, and increased emissions. Replacement of this component may be necessary if any issues arise with its operation.
