DESCRIPTION
A fuel pump is an essential component of a truck's fuel system. The 4990895-KI10 model specifically is designed to supply pressurized fuel from the gas tank to the engine. Located inside or outside the gas tank, this electric pump draws in gasoline through an inlet and pumps it through a line to the engine. The fuel pressure is regulated by a valve that sends excess gasoline back into the tank. Without a functioning fuel pump, a truck would not be able to run properly or at all.
