DESCRIPTION
The Fan Pulley is a component that is responsible for transferring rotational power from the engine to the fan. It is typically located at the front of the engine and is driven by a belt. The pulley itself has a grooved surface that matches the profile of the belt, allowing it to grip and turn along with it. The fan pulley plays an important role in regulating engine temperature by driving the fan blades to circulate air through the radiator, which cools down hot coolant flowing through it. A faulty or worn out fan pulley can lead to overheating issues and potential damage to other components in the engine cooling system.
