DESCRIPTION
An Engine Piston Kit with Part Number 4376424 is a set of components that work together to convert the energy generated from fuel combustion into mechanical power. The kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pins, and circlips. The piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down in the cylinder bore within the engine block. It is responsible for compressing air and fuel during intake stroke and transferring force to the connecting rod during power stroke. The piston rings seal the combustion chamber, prevent oil from entering it, and help transfer heat away from the piston. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, allowing it to rotate while maintaining alignment between them. Finally, circlips are used to secure wrist pins in place.
