DESCRIPTION
The Transfer Case Engine, also known as a transfer case motor or transfer case actuator, is an electrically controlled component that engages and disengages the four-wheel drive system in a truck. It is typically located on the transfer case itself and works by receiving signals from the truck's control module to shift power between the front and rear axles. The transfer case engine is responsible for providing torque to all four wheels, making it an important component for off-road driving and towing heavy loads. If the transfer case engine fails, it can result in the loss of four-wheel drive capabilities or cause unwanted shifting between two- and four-wheel drive modes.
