DESCRIPTION
An engine brake is a component that assists in slowing down a truck by using the engine's compression to create resistance. It works by closing the intake and exhaust valves on certain cylinders, which traps air inside and creates resistance against the piston movement. This resistance slows down the truck and also reduces wear on the brakes. The engine brake is activated by a switch, and can be adjusted to different levels of braking power. The 3871508 model is a specific type of engine brake designed for use in diesel engines, commonly found in heavy-duty trucks.
