DESCRIPTION
An engine brake kit, also known as a Jake Brake, is an aftermarket accessory that is designed to reduce wear and tear on the braking system of a truck while also providing additional stopping power. The kit works by creating back pressure in the engine cylinders during deceleration, which helps slow down the vehicle without relying solely on the brakes. This reduces brake fade and extends the life of the brake pads and rotors.
