DESCRIPTION
The Connecting Rod (part number: 3650611RX) is an essential component of an internal combustion engine. It connects the piston to the crankshaft and converts linear motion into rotational motion. The connecting rod is subjected to high stress loads and must be manufactured from high-strength materials capable of withstanding these forces. In diesel engines, connecting rods are often made from forged steel, while in gasoline engines they are typically made from cast aluminum alloy. Properly maintained connecting rods can last for hundreds of thousands of miles, but if they become damaged or worn, they can cause catastrophic engine failure.
