DESCRIPTION
A dipstick is a long, thin metal rod with markings on it that is used to measure the level of oil in an engine. The dipstick is typically located near the oil filler cap and can be easily removed for checking the oil level. To use the dipstick, simply remove it from its holder and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel. Then, fully reinsert it into the engine and remove it again to check the oil level. The markings on the dipstick will indicate whether there is enough oil in the engine or if more needs to be added. It's important to regularly check your vehicle's oil level with a dipstick as low levels of oil can lead to serious engine damage over time.
