DESCRIPTION
A Control Rod, also known as a push rod or throttle rod, is a component of the engine that connects the throttle pedal to the carburetor or fuel injection system. It is responsible for controlling the amount of air and fuel mixture that enters the engine, thus regulating its speed and power output. The Control Rod typically consists of a metal rod with adjustable length and ends that are threaded to fit onto specific mounting points on both ends. The control rod plays an important role in ensuring smooth acceleration and proper fuel economy while driving.
