DESCRIPTION
A Camshaft Bore Centering Guide, also known as part number 4918158, is a tool used to ensure that the camshaft bore is precisely aligned with the crankshaft centerline during engine assembly. It consists of a cylindrical body with a small diameter pilot on one end and a larger diameter on the other. The pilot fits into the camshaft bore while the larger end rests against the engine block to provide accurate centering. This guide helps to prevent misalignment of the camshaft which can cause poor engine performance or failure.
