DESCRIPTION
A Main Bearing Kit, also known as a crankshaft bearing kit, is a set of bearings that support the crankshaft in an internal combustion engine. The Main Bearing Kit consists of two halves, upper and lower, for each journal on the crankshaft. The bearings are made of high-strength steel and coated with a layer of soft metal to provide cushioning and prevent wear between the crankshaft and the bearing surface.
