A bearing spacer, also known as a sleeve or bushing, is a cylindrical component used in between the bearings to maintain proper distance and alignment. The bearing spacer is usually made of metal and is designed to withstand the stress of rotating parts. It is placed between the inner and outer race of the bearing to ensure that they are aligned correctly, reducing friction and wear. Bearing spacers are commonly used in trucks, particularly in heavy-duty applications where high loads and constant vibration can cause misalignment or premature wear of bearings.
