DESCRIPTION
The alternator, with part number 3284390 and manufactured by Cummins®, is a vital component in a commercial truck's electrical system. It is responsible for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. The alternator works by utilizing the rotational motion from the engine's crankshaft to generate an alternating current (AC), which is then converted to direct current (DC) to power the electrical systems and charge the battery while the engine is running.
