DESCRIPTION
The Aftercooler Core, also known as the intercooler, is a component found in turbocharged diesel engines. It is responsible for cooling the compressed air that has been heated during the process of forced induction, before it enters the engine. The 206807 Aftercooler Core is a specific model used in certain truck engines. Its design includes tubes and fins arranged in a way that allows for efficient heat transfer from the hot compressed air to the cooler ambient air passing through it. This results in increased power output and improved fuel efficiency by reducing engine knock and allowing for more complete combustion.
