DESCRIPTION
An aftercooler is a component used in turbocharged diesel engines that cools the compressed air produced by the turbocharger before it enters the engine. The 3903429 aftercooler, specifically, is designed for use in certain models of Cummins diesel engines. As hot compressed air enters the aftercooler, it passes through a series of tubes where it is cooled by external air or liquid coolant. This process increases the density and oxygen content of the air entering the engine, which improves combustion efficiency and power output while reducing emissions.
