DESCRIPTION
An aftercooler, also known as an intercooler, is a component commonly found in turbocharged and supercharged engines. The aftercooler is responsible for cooling the compressed air that comes out of the forced induction system before it enters the engine's combustion chamber. This improves engine efficiency and helps prevent detonation or pre-ignition.
