Its purpose is to cool the compressed air coming from the turbocharger or supercharger before it enters the engine's intake manifold. This cooler and denser air allows for more efficient combustion and increased power output. The Aftercooler typically consists of a series of tubes through which the compressed air flows, surrounded by fins that dissipate heat to the surrounding environment.
