DESCRIPTION
A Spin-On Lube Filter, also known as LF701, is a component of a truck's lubrication system. It is designed to remove contaminants such as dirt and metal particles from the engine oil before it circulates through the engine. The filter is made up of a canister with a threaded base that screws onto the engine block and contains an element made of cellulose or synthetic fibers. As oil flows through the filter, it passes through the element which traps any impurities, preventing them from circulating through the engine. The Spin-On Lube Filter is an essential maintenance item that should be replaced regularly to ensure proper lubrication and extend engine life.
