DESCRIPTION
A Spin-On Lube Filter, also known as LF3614, is a component of a truck's engine oil system that filters contaminants from the oil to prevent damage to engine components. The filter is designed to be easily replaced by spinning it on and off the filter mount, hence the name "spin-on." LF3614 is a specific part number for a type of spin-on lube filter that fits certain truck models. It consists of a metal canister with an internal filter element made of pleated paper or synthetic fibers. As oil flows through the filter, it passes through the element which traps particles such as dirt, metal shavings, and sludge. The filtered oil then returns to lubricate engine parts for optimal performance and longevity. Regular replacement of the spin-on lube filter is essential for maintaining proper engine function and preventing costly repairs.
