DESCRIPTION
A spin-on lube filter, also known by its part number LF3462, is an essential component of a truck's engine oil system. The filter is designed to remove contaminants such as dirt, metal particles, and sludge from the engine oil before it circulates through the engine. The filter typically consists of a canister that houses a replaceable filter element made of paper or synthetic material. During operation, the oil flows through the outer surface of the filter element and into the center tube, which directs it back to the engine. Over time, as the filter becomes clogged with contaminants, it must be replaced to ensure proper oil flow and protection for the engine.
